Deep in the Oregon woods lies a place of mystery, a place of magic. Families come from miles around to visit Professor Appleton's famous children's library and stuffed animal zoo. Baxter Page, a playwright and suburbanite family man, often visited the Abode as a boy. Now, after being willed the deed to the house and land by his old friend, Baxter must return. Will he accept his responsibilities as caretaker? Will the Abode accept Baxter? And what of Baxter's wife and teenage daughters? Will the Abode's charms lure them in, or will fear of the unknown lead to disaster? Don't miss this tale of dreams, myth, and wonder by Jesse Lynn Rucilez, author of Bobby's Dream and Bobby's Fight.
