"Four years since Elias Karlsson founded Chipd and one year since the start of public use of these chips, there have been no known concerns for their physical safety..."Sebastian, Luannie, Jaewon, and Samara are studying abroad in Sweden to attend The School of International Relations as part of a unique new program. They learn more about each other and their program directors before their Fall semester, one that never begins. During an excursion to Stockholm, Jaewon tells his classmates something strange has happened to him that no one else witnessed. They don't believe him, until strange things begin happening to them, too.Events become dire in a society transitioning to complete public utilization of hand microchips. After losing a classmate, they question who they can trust while struggling to save themselves from an unexpected force they cannot resist. With their greatest fears used against them and no one to believe their stories, the remaining scholars must find a way to return home safely. Can they escape the experiment they have unwillingly joined? A sci-fi thriller and mystery with an overwhelming sense of creeping, underlying dread, Amari Rae Pulido's Chipd is a fast-paced novel that is hard to put down.
