COPPER ROOSTER is Book- 4 in THE SHADY BEND SERIES. In this contemporary romance sixty-four year old Franny Copper runs the Copper Rooster, a charming rural boarding house where she enjoys a quiet and peaceful life with her two elderly female boarders. When local sheriff and close friend asks her for a favor by taking in a male boarder for a brief time, the thoughtful and kindhearted Franny ordinarily would jump through hoops to help. This time she hesitates when realizing the man in question is retired bounty hunter, Frank Whelan. With his colorful past and wild reputation for hard drinking and fast women, one would assume is the reason she's reluctant to take him into her home. In reality, Franny has a dark secret past with the infamous Frank Whelan that she's spent a decade trying to forget. This can be read as a stand alone story with no cliffhangers.
