John's vision of the resurrected Jesus Christ in Revelation is both inspiring and challenging. What message does he have for the church? The modern church finds herself in a peculiar time; she struggles to continue her eternal purpose, carry on her calling, and maintain relevance in a world that is changing rapidly. The church's struggle today is not all that different from the difficulties the church faced in the first century. That is why Bill Thomas wrote Dear Church; to analyze Jesus' message to the seven first-century churches of Asia on how to overcome their challenges. The nine lessons included within this book act as a roadmap, helping readers to question whether their church is portraying the teachings of the risen Christ. This book can be used by anyone who wishes to grow in both spirit and knowledge, as well as those seeking spiritual clarity. Lessons include: - Letter to the church at Smyrna: The Persecuted Church (Revelation 2:8-11)- Letter to the church at Sardis: The Dead Church (Revelation 3:1-6)- Letter to the church at Laodicea: The Lukewarm Church (Revelation 3:14-22)
