Avalon Breen's debut collection of poetry and prose 'Dismantled' provides a memorising insight into the complications of venomous relationships, facades, sense of self and self-actuality. An impressive debut collection, Breen's experience with a previous partner's flirtation, often mistaken as devotion, inspired her writing. Her aim is to help the reader through their own process of healing. Breen's artistry and relatability in her work provides this path for the reader. She uses language to combat the acts of an ex-lover. Her words transform into monuments that many can find comfort in. this collection showcases how the darkest, bruising and disillusioned loves can develop into tender self-expressionistic words of art
