"Malum to Zoran-- an incredible yet tortured lineage. Five generations are spanned between the two that ultimately intersect. Much glory and triumph fills this gap. Much pain and suffering does as well. It is an old line descended from time long ago, but few along the path ever rivaled these two. Despite the difference in age, the two become something of allies... then friends... then enemies. The true enemy was common between the two, however. The true enemy is the greatest of which to ever exist."This episodic story bridges Malum and The Man They Call Zoran and explains intricacies of the complex world in which the two title characters live. Malum and Zoran are connected by more than just lineage as their paths intersect at crucial moments. This piece illuminates how Malum discovers and masters his power while also turning the people who once loved him entirely against him. Is Malum truly the villain Portare and Zoran later see him to be? Do actions or intentions determine whether one is a villain?
