Hello Cello Positions! 4th Position Book

Developing cellists need to know their way around the fingerboard in order to learn music quickly and sight-read well. However, learning and understanding positions can be challenging, especially for young students. In Hello Cello Positions! 4th Position for Young Cellists, Jisoo Ok, a Juilliard trained cellist, lays out a simple step-by-step approach to learning the positions. Written specifically for young beginner students, the book provides: - Fun, short and repetitive pieces with easy-to-read music notes; - Famous pieces from the classical and traditional repertoire arranged for duets; - Diagrams of the left-hand finger placement on the fingerboard for each position; - Introduction to notes and fingerings of the position at the beginning of the section; - Sections for each position and strings, and the review of the positions. The pieces include Theme from Marriage of Figaro, Home on the Range, Arirang, Spring Son, Santa Lucia, Allegro Maestoso from Water Music, El Choclo, Londonderry Air, The Muffin Man, Pop Goes the Weasel and many more!
