'Aren't wedding coordinators supposed to prevent that sort of thing?' queried Carol. This is the question that greeted wedding coordinator Belle Saint James when she was waylaid by a group of women at the conclusion of a talk about her business at the local Ladies Auxiliary. Belle has been haunted by what happened at Janelle and Scott's wedding. Between the wedding ceremony and the reception, the bridegroom disappeared. He was there one minute, and gone the next! She was as surprised as everyone else. Was there anything she could have done to prevent it? Had she done the right thing when she involved her lover; Vietnam veteran, ex-policeman, and now Private Investigator, Marcel Smith in locating the missing bridegroom? Just how encompassing are the responsibilities of a wedding coordinator anyhow?
