Jasper is back! He learned his lesson when he served jail time for stealing the museum's dinosaur bone, and now he's completely rehabilitated. Mayor Piddlewicks has shown mercy to Jasper and allowed him to stay at her house, but only if he agrees to get a job and be good. Jasper agrees, and he lands a job at the museum, serving as the museum's watchdog, alongside the watchman, old Mr. Paddles. Things go swimmingly well for a while, but then another theft occurs during Jasper's watch. Who or what is stealing vaulable items from the museum again? Then the stealing goes beyond the museum and occurs among the townspeople. Immediately they suspect Jasper and begin to persecute him, spreading gossip about him throughout the town. But is Jasper the thief? Or is there someone else (or something else) doing the stealing this time? This hilarious sequel to JASPER HAS LEFT THE BUILDING! is told in verse with full color illustrations throughout, and features a wonderful, profound foreword by Joyce DeWitt. For readers and listeners, ages 3 and up.
