Jessica Awakens

Jessica has finally moved far away from her abusive home and the bullies who tormented her in high school. Now, after graduation, Jessica is hoping for a happy ending-and in college, she believes she's found the man who will give her the love and caring she's always dreamed of.But when her fantasy of a "knight in shining armor" becomes reality, Jessica quickly learns that life isn't like the fairy tales. When her "knight" begins to reveal he's a much different person than she first met, Jessica struggles to keep faith in him, hoping to save the sad and damaged soul she sees hidden deep inside. This second novel in Marsha Olivia Meadows's young adult trilogy, Jessica Awakens continues the story of Jessica's struggling emergence into womanhood, as she faces new brutal life lessons and works to leave behind her dark and difficult past once and for all, in exchange for a brighter future. While setting aside the childish perceptions that have always driven her, Jessica learns the power of her own inner strength-and never strays too far from her true self, despite all that she has been through.
