Mallory Browne

Mallory Browne is a novel about modern life, its busyness, its stress, its inevitable complications. Mallory is a primary school teacher with a class of Year One children, many of whom have high needs. As a young mother of two, a wife, mortgagee and a medically fragile babysitting mother living in a granny flat at the bottom of the garden, she has a lot of balls juggling in the air. It doesn't take much to knock her work ball off its groove, an incident at school with one of her students, and once one becomes difficult to catch, all the balls threaten to come down.
