From the onset, may I say ever so boldly, if your feelings are easily hurt and you lean towards political correctness, then this book is not for you. Garvar Brummett the author of "The Scent of Jasmine Cools the Rage" has written another dynamic book, "Marv and Garv".Marv, a non-human entity may well be an angel of sorts. A rescue dog. A huge American bull dog whom Garv rescued, but in so many ways Marv has returned the favor. This book is full of hard truths and life changing events. Sometimes very humorous and other times not."Marv and Garv" focuses on battles with addiction, abandonment, depression and the search for meaning and purpose in a world that at times feels meaningless and purposeless. It's a personal road map of how one walks through life and difficult experiences and emerges from them with enhanced identity and spiritual growth with an unshakeable belief in God and the ultimate destination. This book highlights how increased self awareness, knowledge, morality and values held onto, tenaciously protect our souls and spirits from desolation.
