Out of The Shell is a collection of children's poems that the whole family can enjoy. Author and Illustrator Octavious Gillespie brings you a collection of poems that are thoughtful and from the heart. Many of the poems are funny and silly with hand painted illustrations to add to their charm. The title "Out of the Shell" represents a triple meaning. First representing the title poem about urging a shy turtle to be confident. Second, the author coming out of his own shell with his first literary outing. Finally, as a homage to Shel Silverstein whose work helped inspire a love for poetry. We hope you and your little ones enjoy this collection of poems.
