Under the sands of time, Percy awakes. He is alone. He does not want to be. Unsure of who or what he is, Percy sets forth on a journey of discovery. Join the noble Percy as he goes on a quest across many lands and encounters interesting characters as he attempts to find others like himself.Percy is a children's book about someone who is different and is looking for a place to fit in. Percy is a sirrush. This is a mythological beast that is a combination of different creatures and an image can be found on the Ishtar Gate of ancient Babylon. Percy is represented as a blend of lion, eagle, and dragon. The author has interpreted the dragon portion more like a giraffe. Percy was illustrated in watercolors by Elke Reva Sudin.
