Many thousands of years ago, the Athereon Empire was strong and vast. The dominant species on the planet Earth, they pushed forward, unhindered by others. But when their reach grew too vast, when their lust for power got too far out of hand, an army rose up to fight against them. The war that followed lasted for centuries, the final years of which were spent just trying to keep the fight away from the capital. The raging torment destroyed and devastated everything in its path and soon the once great Empire, was no more. Now almost twelve thousand years later, the last Athereon left alive still fights this war, protecting the human race from its destructive nature. In this world of magic spell and impossible feats, he fights this war alone. Unknown to those among the human world that he seeks to protect, he fights every day to keep them alive. He is the last of his kind, an ancient guardian protecting both mage and human alike. An immortal god is he, a being unknown to death and forgotten by time. He is the Athereon and he has quite the tale to tell but only to those who are ready to hear it.So, are you?
