The Mage's Dilemma continues the story of Chloe, a mage and head of the Pathfinder Academy, and Rya, a young carpenter's apprentice with an empathic link to the natural world. Together they must find a way to stop a sentient volcano from burying the nation of Draconia beneath a sea of lava. Meanwhile, a group of treasure-seeking thugs puts the mission at risk while mining for rare and precious gems inside the unstable mountain. Can Chloe and Rya-along with their allies, including the famed Dragon Riders-stop the molten lava in time, or will greedy fortune hunters seal the fate of a nation? Readers of Anne McCaffrey will love the coming-of-age drama in this epic fantasy, the sixth book in a series about a magical world of dragons.
