This Green Earth

Set in 22nd century Britain 'This Green Earth' tells the story of the survivors of a series of world shattering events, how they struggle for survival to find normality and try to rebuild a community. Then against all the odds love is found. 'Tess goes about her daily duties on the farm under the constant threat of the marauders lurking in the woods.' "As he rotated, his puffy white face flashed at her, he wasn't that dissimilar in looks from her late husband and the thought of it made her start crying, ironically in the grass there was a gathering of light blue Forget-me-nots." The man began to roll on his own, his arms flinging out wildly, his legs flailing against the ground and each other, until in a ragged heap he hit the bottom of the ditch where the others lay. Now there were four of them and when she had got the other two, she would cover them over, it was only decent, it was only proper, it was only hygienic.
