She moved to Milton, Florida where her dad was the principal and her mom was a teacher of a small Christian school. Since the fourth grade, her goal in life was always to do hair and makeup, even though she attended Pensacola Christian College and Bob Jones University to study elementary education. As she was recovering from breast cancer in Spring of 2019, she dreamed she was fussing with an unknown man to write a book about a whale. She argued back saying it would be about a llama. In three weeks, she woke up at 12:26am, having the entire book written in her head. She believes God gave her the dream to help small children through character building books.
