Whispers & Conversations begins with the idea that nothing in this world happens without conversation. Sometimes this happens with a roar - but, most often, these conversations happen in whispers and internal dialogue. Within these pages, Ralonda Simmons converses with a variety of themes, including her origins, love, the body, writing as a practice, and more. Containing work written over a 24-year period, from the author's early years as a page poet to her present as a spoken word artist and mentor, this book coalesces chaos into a cohesive collection of poetry that gives a peek into Ralonda's relationship with herself and the world around her.
